What is the difference between a leakproof fitted sheet and a bed guard?

A leakproof fitted sheet covers the entire mattress like a regular fitted sheet. It has a soft quilted top and a waterproof TPU backing built in. A bed guard sits on top of the sheet and covers the sleeping zone, held in place by tuck-in wings. The sheet gives full mattress coverage, while the bed guard provides a quick-change absorbent layer where it is needed most.

Will it feel like a plasticky waterproof sheet?

No. The top layer is quilted polyester with 300gsm padding, so it feels like a proper fitted sheet. The waterproof TPU backing is designed to stay quiet, without the plastic crinkle when your child moves in their sleep.

How absorbent are the leakproof sheets?

The Single size holds up to 1000 mL, the King Single holds up to 1300 mL, and the Double holds up to 1550 mL. That is well above a typical full wee from a toilet-training child, so you are covered even for bigger accidents overnight.

What sizes are available?

Leakproof fitted sheets come in Single, King Single, and Double. Bed guards come in Semi Single (140 x 100 cm), Single (140 x 210 cm), and Double (165 x 220 cm). The Semi Single bed guard is also a good option for cots and travel.

Will the fitted sheet stay on properly?

Yes. It has a deep elasticated skirt that hugs the mattress the same way a regular fitted sheet does. It should not pop off overnight, even with a restless sleeper.

How do I wash leakproof bedding?

Machine wash in cold or warm water, then line dry or tumble dry on low. Avoid bleach and fabric softeners because both can damage the waterproof layer over time. The sheets are designed for repeated washing throughout toilet training and beyond.

Are reusable leakproof sheets better than disposable bed mats?

For most families, yes. Disposable bed mats are convenient but add up in cost and waste quickly. A reusable leakproof sheet washes easily, stays in place better than a mat, and lasts years. Most families find one or two sheets covers them for the whole toilet training period.
